Sid Wood’s
KR-2
On October 19, 2004, Sid invited the chapter to have it’s meeting at his workshop. Here, we conducted business and then were given an introduction to Sid’s KR-2. Sid started by telling us the history of his selection which occurred 18 years ago. From there we learned a bit of the construction and choices that he made during the construction. A major change was the conversion from a retractable main gear to fixed gear to save a lot of weight.
Sid then showed us his airplane and invited us to inspect his work and let him know what we thought. A Great meeting. Thank you Sid.
